  • Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C).
  • Grind or break up the cannabis into small pieces (not too fine).
  • Spread it evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure even heating. It should turn slightly golden-brown and aromatic. This step converts THCA into THC, making it psychoactive and bioavailable.

  • If you use water, let the mixture cool in the fridge. The butter will solidify on top, and you can remove it from the water layer (discard the water).
  • If no water was used, simply let it cool in the container.
